This stance extends to advocating for policies that would limit the rights of Muslims in the Netherlands, including banning the Quran and closing all mosques, proposals that have sparked significant controversy and debate about freedom of religion and expression.<br /><br />Economically, the PVV combines elements of both right-wing and welfare-state policies. It supports maintaining the Netherlands' social welfare system, while also advocating for lower taxes and reductions in government spending, particularly on what it sees as unnecessary programs and foreign aid.
